with 7 minutes to spare
I managed to finish my edits and upload my book with 7 minutes to spare on my pre-order deadline. Yeah, I cut it close. Too close. Never a-fucking-gain, she says, knowing damn well next time she’ll probably have two minutes to spare. I really don’t mean to procrastinate, but line edits are not where I shine. I do my best, but I’m slow. Now writing I love that, of course. I’m usually working on more than one book at a time. I’m a fast writer but a slow editor. Still, the book is done, and the deadline was met. So ya me! I’m already working on book 2 of the Black Heart series. I’ve written about a third of it, so now I have to outline. Yes, I have to start writing the book before I can do a proper outline. I know it’s weird, but it works for me, so that’s how I did it. I also don’t write in order, and have no idea how long the book is until I put everything together. It’s usually more than I thought.
Back on topic. Yeah right. I finished, but my god, was I sweating. Because I’m a stress sweater. So I finished my book, showered, and then promptly freaked out because OMG I finished a book. Y’all don’t know how many unfinished books live on my hard drive. I’m like J. Edgar Prufrock over here, measuring my life in unfinished books. But not this one. Her Twisted Heart is done.
